This device is capable of effectively processing banknotes from five European currencies: the euro (EUR), pound sterling (GBP), Swiss franc (CHF), Polish zloty (PLN) and the Swedish krona (SEK) and CZK.
No updates required for the € currency
Updates are free for life, in case new banknotes from other compatible currencies are circulated, and they can be downloaded from our website, which is updatable with a microSD card or with a USB connected to a PC.

FAQ
Does it detect all euro currency banknotes?
Yes, it does not require any updates for the € currency. It detects the old 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 euro banknotes, the new 5, 10, 20 and 50 euro banknotes currently in circulation, and is also factory compatible with new €100 and €200 banknotes which are due to be released into circulation.
Does it need to be programmed when the new €100 and €200 banknotes go into circulation?
No, this model is factory compatible with both.
If it doesn’t need updates, why is it updatable?
The European Central Bank is not going to release new €500 banknotes, nor of any other denomination, but other countries may release new denominations, in which case, the currencies supported by the model will be updatable free of charge.
Can it be updated?
Yes, via the USB and microSD ports, updating this model is free of charge for life.
Is the lithium battery included in the package? Is it necessary?
The lithium battery for Detectalia B1 is not included and is an option for clients who need to use the detector as a portable device. By default, the package includes the electric adaptor.

How does a banknote detecting machine operate?
